The Veneto Region's meeting space at the Hotel Excelsior hosts a second round of talks under the aegis of Miu Miu Women's Tales, the showcase that celebrates the creativity of young actresses and women filmmakers. This talk on Monday, September 7th looked at the sensitive issue of gender equality, which is of ever-increasing importance to the film industry today.
"It's wonderful to see the changes we've been talking about for years finally happening," enthuses Francesca Hayword, principal dancer at the Royal Ballet in London and star of last year's screen version of the musical Cats. "We are where we need to be," she went on. "Just think of the performances by young women like Raffey Cassidy. They are eye-opening."
