The Giornate Artbook
As we have had every year since we started, Giornate degli Autori has a print publication for 2020 as well. This year, however, we came up with something different: the erstwhile catalogue has turned into an artbook featuring photos along with short texts chosen by each of our filmmakers.
Both the image selected and the director's 'note' were meant to reflect, in some way, a state of mind, an impression, an original point of departure or else a programmatic one, or an observation that summed up or recalled the general idea of the film. And each of the filmmakers responded by sending a photo and a text that we now share with you.
