In a joint collaboration with the Italian Parliament's Intergroup on Cinema and the Performing Arts, Giornate degli Autori remembers Ugo Pirro with a roundtable on Thursday, September 10th at 11am, at the Italian Pavilion - Tropicana conference room, Hotel Excelsior - and also online, at www.italianpavilion.it.Participants include Andrea Purgatori, screenwriter and Giornate President; Giorgio Gosetti, Giornate's General Delegate; Francesco R. Martinotti, President of ANAC and Giornate's Vice President; Deputy Nicola Acunzo, President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies' Intergroup on Cinema and the Performing Arts; and Donata Carrelli, who wrote her Ph.D on Ugo Pirro and co-wrote the 2008 documentary Soltanto un nome sui titoli di testa, directed by Daniele Di Biasio.Carrelli will be presenting her new book Ugo Pirro. La scrittura del conflitto (UniversItalia, 2020). Highly-anticipated speakers at the event include Marina Cicogna, the producer of Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion and The Working Class Goes to Heaven, along with a number of Italian actors and other film personalities.
