The first time it was a discovery; the tenth the seal of success. Today, as we reach another milestone in the Women's Tales collection, you could call it an institution, considering that in the meantime, the #MeToo generation has seized the world's imagination, and the Women2020 program is about to become a reality. In all of this, the power of Women's Tales remains intact, a provocation that Miu Miu and Giornate degli Autori fire off each year over the Lagoon lapping the Venice Film Festival, in order to champion the "otherness" of a woman's gaze. Which means a way of thinking, feeling, and seeing the world which we are proud to entrust to the visionary approach of the two new filmmakers joining the collection and to the voices of all the participants in the two-day-long conversation series that only Penny Martin could turn into genuine events each year.
With KiKi Layne and Sarah Gadon.
