The first debate between generative artificial intelligence and filmmakers took place last year in Venice and brought together all the Italian filmmakers’ associations, attracting a lot of attention. A permanent observatory was duly created to continue to study and monitor the rapid, ongoing evolution of generative AI. This event is therefore an opportunity to discuss the results of the Observatory’s work, as well as to present a sneak preview of Valerio Jalongo’s surprising investigative docufilm, Wider than the Sky. In addition, there will be room for entertainment as well, as an AI platform and a group of screenwriters face off, live, to script a TV series. The event is organized by WGI together with ANAC and 100autori and made possible by the support of SIAE.
