The film Frammenti is a collective effort made possible by partners ANAC and Alveare per il sociale, under the aegis of Roma Capitale's 3rd district. The film was made by students at the Professional High School in Via Sarandì in Rome's Tufello area and coordinated by Alveare cinema. This is the first case of a feature film created thanks to a MIUR/MiBAC competition, as per Law 220 of 2016. The students took part in every step of the filmmaking process, from the script (guided by Alessandro Rossetti of the National Filmmakers' Association) and the directing, to the costumes, set design, makeup, production and editing. The six directors - Sebastian Alexandre, Claudia Bonsangue, Giorgio Picinni Leopardi, Caterina Peta, Simone Scardovi, and Gabriele Teti - took turns behind the camera, coordinated by Paolo Bianchini. The subtitling was done elsewhere, at the Ninni Cassarà High School in Palermo, and is presently in English but soon in other languages as well, along with sign language and an audioguide for the visually impaired. From the earliest stages of this project, various cultural figures have gotten involved, from the award-winning cinematographer Luca Bigazzi to the singer-songwriter Luca Barbarossa, who has donated his song Roma è di tutti to the film.
